Virtual Tour Services FAQs

What's the difference between your Property Search and Virtual Tour Listings?

Both show properties for sale in and around Silicon Valley, but the Virtual Tour Listings only shows properties that you can tour online and the Property Search allows you to search all listings registered with the central listing agency in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, REInfoLink.

Do I need to register for an account to use the system?

We highly recommend registering for a free Property Organizer account if you're searching for a home. After you've registered, you'll be able to save your search preferences, save specific properties for future reference, and set Email update delivery options to get the latest property listings sent to you daily.

For realtors, we recommend registering on our Virtual Tours system. After you register on our virtual tours system, you'll receive the benefit of having a full featured realtor profile with information about you and your brokerage company. In an industry that's increasingly driven by the Internet, it never hurts to have more places display information about you.

Where can I get more help in using the Property Organizer?

Please see the dedicated help section for the Property Organizer.

How long do my virtual tours stay on your website?

Your virtual tours will remain available on the RealtyVision site indefinitely, but they will only be shown in the available properties section of our virtual tour listings as long as they remain on the market. Once your property is sold, you may change its status yourself or a site administrator will change its status for you. After your tour property is sold and no longer in our list of available properties, it continues to be accessible through your realtor profile which will allow potential buyers or sellers to tour any of the virtual tour properties that you've sold in the past.

Can I get my RealtyVision virtual tour shown on other web sites?

Yes. All you have to do is provide a link to your virtual tour pages. Listing services such as MLSlistings.com allow for the entry of a URL to a virtual tour. For your convenience, we provide several different versions of a tour that you can link to.
  • Your actual RealtyVision Virtual Tour Property Detail Page with full property information
  • A compact pop-up window that allows users to switch back and forth between panormas and the slideshow. The compact view is ideal for linking with property listings on other sites since it doesn't carry the RealtyVision header and blends in well with any site you choose to use with it.

How long does it take for my virtual tour to show up on your website?

It generally takes between 24-36 hours from the time of your photo shoot session for the virtual tour to be ready for viewing online.

How does RealtyVision compare to other virtual tour services?

RealtyVision has been providing virtual tours since 1998 when it was one of the first virtual tour service providers in Silicon Valley. Since then other companies have joined our industry, but none can match the years of experience that RealtyVision has. Those years translate into great looking tours and knowledgeable service.

As a company founded by a realtor, we take extra care to produce higher quality results. Our belief in quality can be seen in many of our standard practices like our insistence on shooting panoramas with special lenses that that produce images with a greater field of vision even though it means we need to do some extra processing. We also offer all of our virtual tour packages with panoramas and a still image slideshow because a virtual tour that consists of only a slideshow or only panoramas is less likely to represent a property accurately and less likely to stimulate the interest that a complete tour does.

Will my pages on RealtyVision show up on search engines?

Search engines typically index RealtyVision pages on a daily basis, but it typically takes between a few days and a few weeks for indexed pages to show up in search results. You may not be able to attract hits for specific properties unless it stays on the market long enough, but home buyers seeking real estate information online regularly follow search engines to RealtyVision and browse our listing pages and realtor profiles.
